The Group BI team plays a key role in supporting the business globally by delivering meaningful data, reporting and analysis to inform strategic decisions. Working closely with Finance, FP&A, the Commercial Hub and other business teams, the function develops and maintains reporting systems and BI dashboards, helping stakeholders better understand financial performance, revenue and recovery data.

The successful candidate will work within the BI development team, reporting to the BI Technical Support Analyst. Alongside gaining hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure SQL Server and Power BI, the successful candidate will complete a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, a keen interest in data and technology, and a willingness to learn. Previous Business Intelligence experience is not required, as training and mentoring will be provided. Applicants must meet the apprenticeship eligibility requirements.

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Manage small scale changes through to completion
  • Perform quality assurance tests and assisting with new release processes
  • Automate and enhance workflows
  • Manage and administer reporting security
  • Collaborate with people across the firm to enable them to self-serve Business Intelligence through Power BI
  • Work with developers to support the technical implementation and roll-out of new reporting dashboards on Power BI
  • As skills and knowledge are gained, personally take on development work, through SQL and Power BI within the team.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • A resilient, enthusiastic team player with strong self-motivation and a collaborative, hands-on approach
  • An interest in databases and data; previous exposure to SQL would be beneficial but is not essential
