Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) Consultant with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP PM configuration, implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects. The consultant will be responsible for understanding business maintenance processes, configuring SAP PM solutions, integrating with cross-functional modules, supporting testing and data migration activities, and ensuring successful delivery of plant maintenance and asset management requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering workshops and translate business maintenance processes into SAP PM functional specifications.
- Configure core SAP PM processes including technical objects, functional locations, equipment master, task lists, maintenance plans, measuring points, notifications, and work orders.
- Support preventive, corrective, breakdown, refurbishment, calibration, and predictive maintenance business scenarios.
- Work on integration touchpoints with SAP MM, FI/CO, PP, QM, EAM, PS, and SD as applicable to maintenance operations.
- Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects, forms, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and workflows.
- Coordinate with ABAP, integration, basis, security, and data teams to deliver end-to-end SAP PM solutions.
- Support unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, UAT, defect resolution, and cutover activities.
- Assist in master data migration, data validation, upload templates, and reconciliation for SAP PM objects.
- Prepare process documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and support handover documents.
- Provide post-go-live support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.

SAP PM Configuration
Strong configuration experience in master data, notifications, work orders, maintenance planning, and order settlement processes.
Advanced
Maintenance Processes
Good understanding of preventive, corrective, breakdown, calibration, refurbishment, and shutdown maintenance.
Advanced
Integration Knowledge
Hands-on experience with SAP MM, FI/CO, PP, QM, and PS integration points relevant to PM processes.
Intermediate
S/4HANA Exposure
Experience or strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Asset Management capabilities and Fiori app usage.

Testing & Documentation
Ability to prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and user manuals.

Support & Troubleshooting
Strong issue analysis, defect triage, incident management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills
- SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion project experience.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori applications for maintenance execution and asset management.
- Knowledge of SAP EAM, linear asset management, mobile maintenance, or work clearance management.
- Experience in data migration tools such as LTMC, LSMW, BDC, or Migration Cockpit.
- Understanding of integration with external systems such as IoT, GIS, MES, or third-party maintenance platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Agile delivery, and project governance.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP PM certification or SAP S/4HANA Asset Management certification is an added advantage.
