Lead Scientist - LCMS
Our largest UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Lead Scientist to join the LCMS team.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Lead scientific activities supporting method development, validation, and sample analysis projects
- Serve in key study leadership roles (e.g., Study Director, Principal Investigator, Responsible Scientist) for regulated and non-regulated studies.
- Develop, review, and approve protocols, validation plans, reports, and study data.
- Provide scientific oversight to ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, regulatory, and client requirements.
- Act as the primary scientific contact for clients, defining project requirements and managing scientific expectations.
- Identify and resolve scientific challenges, risks, and scope changes throughout the study lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise and support assay troubleshooting and scientific investigations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering collaboration and a culture of quality.
- Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery to quality, timeline, and client expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scientific excellence and client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
- Strong experience in bioanalytical method development, validation, and regulated study conduct.
- Thorough understanding of GLP, GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to interpret complex scientific data and make sound technical decisions.
- Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project management experience.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining scientific quality and attention to detail.
