ENGINEER (TITLE 5)

This National Guard position is for a ENGINEER (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5904800 and is part of the 151 CES located at Roland Wright ANG Base, with the UTANG. Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTANG. The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is Capt Joseph Leeman. This position will be filled using the Accelerated Hiring Authority (AHA). Must be a US Citizen. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Pending analysis, you may be required to complete a new 1-year probationary period when moved to this position IAW CNGBI 1400.25. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program. Potential for incentive pay. The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle and if so, an appropriate valid driver's license is required. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
