Senior Backend / Platform Engineer (f/x/m)

Build and operate our platform on Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager).

• Own Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, plus CI/CD pipelines and clean promotion across dev, test and production.

• Develop backend services in Python, design clean APIs, and integrate with internal and third-party systems.

• Build production data pipelines on BigQuery: partitioning, cost and performance tuning, scheduled queries, batch and streaming workloads.

• Shape a scalable, maintainable platform architecture with clean separation of concerns.

• Work within security and IAM standards suited to regulated financial institutions: GCP IAM, RBAC and SSO, audit logging, Binary Authorization, VPC Service Controls.

• 5+ years in backend or platform engineering, with production experience on Google Cloud.

• Strong Python and clean API and service design.

• Hands-on data engineering on BigQuery.

• Solid DevOps practice: Terraform, CI/CD, containerized workloads.

• Practical depth in cloud security and IAM: identity, access control, audit logging.

• Fluent German (C1 or higher) and fluent English.
