NOC / SOC Technician (2nd Shift)

The Defense Sector at Leidos is currently looking for a NOC / SOC Technician (2nd Shift) to join our team at Langley AFB, VA. The

Separate real incidents from false alarms, run initial diagnostics, and contain active network or security anomalies. •

Escalate high-severity incidents to Tier 2/3 engineering teams or Incident Responders and write detailed shift-handover reports. •

Assist with routing, connectivity issues, backup restorations, and software patch management during off-peak hours.

Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. •

IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE). •

1-3+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, network administration, or a related field. •

Basic familiarity with enterprise SIEM/EDR and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, SolarWinds). •

Willingness to work evening and rotational shifts (e.g., 3:00 PM-11:00 PM), including weekends and holidays. •

CompTIA CySA+ or Network+. •

Previous NOC or SOC experience in a DoD, military, or cleared environment. •
