Job Summary

This role owns the enterprise batch scheduling and output management landscape — installation, configuration, upgrade, and administration of tools such as IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS), CA7, CA ESP, and BMC Control-M — and leads migration projects that move customers from one vendor scheduling or output management platform to another.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and administer batch scheduling platforms — IWS/TWS, CA7, CA ESP, BMC Control-M, or equivalent.
  • Lead end-to-end migration projects between competing scheduling products, including job stream conversion, dependency mapping, calendar conversion, and parallel-run validation.
  • Administer output management tooling (e.g., Control-D, CA-View/Deliver, or equivalent) covering spool management, archival, and distribution.
  • Define and maintain scheduling calendars, job dependencies, SLA-driven critical path definitions, and restart/rerun procedures.
  • Support integration of batch scheduling with modern orchestration and DevOps pipelines to enable hybrid batch/cloud workflows.
  • Perform Proof-of-concept (POC) on Sandbox LPAR to build & test the use-cases using different vendor products which are found promising and establish the documentation proof of benefits realization after POC completion.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing to validate scheduling and output management recovery procedures.
  • Provide senior-level incident and problem management support for scheduling-related disruptions.
  • Document scheduling standards, conversion methodologies, and best practices for reuse across engagements.
