Job Summary
To develop and deliver codes for the work assigned in accordance with time| quality and cost standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and prepare high-level and low-level designs.
- Develop and optimize Assembler /COBOL programs for batch and online systems.
- Write and maintain JCL jobs, utilities, and scheduling dependencies.
- Design and manage DB2 schemas, SQL queries, and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain VSAM datasets and IDCAMS scripts.
- Configure and enhance CICS transactions, COMMAREA, and BMS maps.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing; debug using Abend-AID/Xpediter.
- Manage code promotion through Endevor/Changeman and ensure compliance.
- Support production systems, troubleshoot abends, and optimize batch windows.
- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards.
Skill Requirements
- Assembler / COBOL: Advanced programming, modular design, performance tuning.
- JCL: Complex job setup, PROC usage, utilities (SORT, IDCAMS).
- DB2: Advanced SQL, joins, cursors, stored procedures, bind/package management.
- VSAM: KSDS/ESDS design, IDCAMS scripting, recovery strategies.
- CICS: Transaction design, pseudo-conversational programming, resource definitions.
- Familiarity with TSO/ISPF, File-AID, Abend-AID/Xpediter, and job schedulers (CA7/Control-M).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and change management.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Should be able to work in an onsite-offshore model.
