Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Mainframe Development Lead

with strong expertise in

NATURAL and ADABAS

and a deep understanding of the

FirstNet Mainframe System (FMS)

ecosystem within the

Colonial First State (CFS)

environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading development activities, driving solution design, supporting modernization initiatives, managing technical teams, and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver enhancements across the superannuation and wealth management platforms.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead development, maintenance, and enhancement activities across the

FMS Mainframe Platform

.

  • Provide technical leadership for NATURAL/ADABAS-based applications and services.
  • Review and approve technical designs, development standards, and code quality practices.
  • Drive best practices in application architecture, performance optimization, and system stability.

FMS Platform & Domain Ownership

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the

FMS platform

and its integration landscape.

  • Support business initiatives related to:
  • Superannuation products
  • Pension products
  • Member servicing
  • Contributions
  • Rollovers
  • Benefit payments
  • Insurance administration
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Delivery & Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor development teams across multiple squads.
  • Provide estimations, delivery planning, and technical oversight for project initiatives.
  • Manage production support, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Participate in governance forums and provide updates on technical risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with CFS business and technology stakeholders.
  • Support application modernization and integration initiatives.
  • Engage with testing, infrastructure, and release teams to ensure successful implementation and deployment activities.
