SSD Hardware Architect Engineer
Responsibilities
- Define hardware architectures and participate in design reviews and requirements development for SSD products
- Design power topologies and ensure strong power integrity across subsystems
- Simulate and analyze designs, providing recommendations to improve performance and reliability
- Collaborate across firmware, system, and validation teams to meet product requirements
- Mentor engineers and contribute technical guidance across the hardware team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or computer engineering
- 10+ years of experience in hardware design and system architecture
- Strong foundation in circuit design, transmission line fundamentals, and power & signal integrity
- Experience with PCB design, high-speed routing, and power subsystem implementation
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, IBIS, or Hspice
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or computer engineering
- Experience designing hardware for large-scale manufacturing including DFx considerations
- Hands-on experience with power integrity analysis in lab environments
- Familiarity with PCB stack-up design, via technologies, and design constraint definition

Strong communication skills and experience guiding or mentoring engineers

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$152,000.00 - $280,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
