Position Summary
Cigna Investment Management (CIM) manages over $25 billion in assets on behalf of Cigna, a publicly traded global health services company. Evernorth seeks a results-oriented Investment Accounting Lead Analyst for our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. This role is critical for executing accurate, timely, and compliant investment accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong US GAAP expertise, a drive for continuous improvement, and a collaborative mindset to support global financial operations.
Summary of Key Responsibilities

Process Execution & Documentation
Develop, document, and maintain accounting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with US GAAP, NAIC statutory and company policies.

Foster open communication and teamwork across global locations and functions.

Audit Coordination
Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate responses to requests.

Issue Resolution
Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating to management when needed.

Embrace change, support process enhancements, and stay updated on accounting practices and technologies.

Participate in financial close and reporting activities, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or operations.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP reporting (required).
- General knowledge of US NAIC statutory reporting (preferred, not required)
- Experience in investment accounting (preferred, not required).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and reporting tools (Hyperion, Oracle EPM) (required).
- Experience with Investment Accounting systems (Midland Enterprise!, YARDI, SS&C Singularity, State Street PAM) (preferred, not required).
- Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBi, SQL, Alteryx, Python/R, and Workiva (preferred).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to operationalize change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and technology adoption.
