SECURITY SPECIALIST (PROTECTION) -Title 32

This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (PROTECTION) -Title 32, Position Description Number D2617000 and is part of the Joint Forces Headquarters - J3 Domestic Operations, Wisconsin Army National Guard. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E6 through E9, WO1 through CW5 and O1 through O4 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this positions. This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the unit is closed or delayed reporting and remain on duty during phased or early release.
