The opportunity

EY Electronic Publishing Services Inc. provides tax research and information to EY and also operates as a commercial publisher, offering online tax research content and solutions to other firms and organizations. As part of the EY E-publishing technology team, the Back-End .Net Developer will help build and support the platforms that make this content accessible, efficient and easy to use. This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who is eager to learn, grow and make an impact. Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting products used by professionals across EY and beyond, while developing in-demand technical and business skills. You'll be encouraged to bring fresh perspectives, explore new technologies and continuously expand your capabilities as you build a rewarding career within a globally connected organization. Your key responsibilities

Help to develop cutting edge, enterprise-scale ASP.NET web applications

Write custom .NET applications to optimize back-end processes

Write high-quality, re-usable code in C# and SQL

Design and create slick and intuitive software solutions for high-level business problems

Propose new or improved components for our core platform and for other initiatives

Contribute fresh, new ideas during developer meetings and other brainstorming sessions

Skills and attributes for success

Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Passion for technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently

Ability to proactively manage commitments in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

A university degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET web development

Experience with database design and SQL programming

Other beneficial skills

ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET Core

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

Toronto: $65,500 - $99,000
