About

My career has been shaped by one consistent question: how do we create learning environments where people can genuinely grow, engage and succeed? I first approached this through communication and marketing, then
through more than a decade of teaching, academic management, educational technology, learning design, staff development, and strategic partnerships. This combination has given me a broad understanding of higher
education — from the classroom and LMS to the people, systems and institutional decisions shaping the student experience.
Across my career, I have worked as a practitioner, lecturer, manager, facilitator and collaborator. I have taught across undergraduate programmes, designed curricula and assessments, recruited and mentored lecturers, facilitated professional development, coordinated academic delivery and supported quality assurance and student success. My EdTech experience also exposed me to institutional digital learning environments, where I worked alongside instructional designers, academic leaders, and implementation teams across platforms
including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and Brightspace D2L. What connects these experiences is my ability to move between people, pedagogy and practice understand the realities academics face because I have taught, the operational demands of quality learning because I have managed academic delivery, and the opportunities and limitations of educational technology
because I have worked within EdTech. I therefore see academic development as a collaborative process that respects academic expertise while strengthening teaching, assessment, engagement and reflective practice.
