Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will perform a variety of technical, administrative, and programmatic analyses of supplier industrial processes. Location of position: GSA; Federal Acquisition Service (FAS); Office of Shared Services Delivery; Office of Fleet Management; Fleet Supplier Service Center; Supplier Management and Compliance Division. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. If selected, you must meet the following conditions: Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or Non­Career SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office. Have a valid driver's license This position includes the requirement for the FAC-COR certification which mandates that the incumbent obtain and maintain the FAC-COR certification within 2 years. In addition to a conventional Federal building/office setting, work sites, on occasion, may include warehouses, federal prisons, military installations, testing laboratories and supplier manufacturing and storage areas, under a variety of climatic conditions. Assignments require visits to manufacturing and other industrial areas involving moderate risks or discomforts, including exposure to dangerous production processes, equipment and machinery; in these instances, the mandatory use of protective eyewear and safety equipment will be required.
