This role is responsible for taking the raw stock and machine it to the desired dimensions for assembly into the various products made at Hitachi Energy Alamo Facility. @@HD@@ 4 days off a week!@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ Work 36 hours and get paid for 40!@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ How you'll make an impact:@@/HD@@ • Proficient in CNC, lathes, machine centers, quality, safety, blueprint interpretation from engineering as required • Successfully complete in-house machinist exercise on all machining equipment in the section. • Work from Work Center Dispatch and print feeders for work orders. • Purchase aluminum stock, brass, bronze and cast-iron materials, raw steel, copper stock, and cleaning agents • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations • May provide information to drafting, engineering, and the supervisor • Normal supervision on routine assignments. Receives technical information form engineering as required • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier caliper • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines • Must meet the requirements of a Code 9 machinist and acceptably meet the requirements of the proficiency machinist standards in productivity • Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products

• Associate's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or relevant industry or graduate from a trade school covering standard and computer-controlled metal working equipment or demonstrated knowledge • Or 5 years of machining experience Apply now Current employees apply here
