VISN 6 Chief Medical Officer (Dentist)

Serves as the Chief Medical Officer for one of eighteen Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) of the Veterans Health Administration. VISN 6 delivers health care services through a network of community-based and home care services, linked access points, medical centers and clinics. VISN programs are coordinated with those of other VISNs located throughout the county. VHA Headquarters in Washington, DC, provides policy development and support to VISN operations. All qualified candidates encouraged to apply. Open to U.S. Citizens but non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
