The opportunity

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources, inventory, and capacity. The role involves close coordination with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to meet customer demand and business objectives. @@HD@@ How you'll make an impact :@@/HD@@ • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand forecasts and customer orders • Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to address capacity constraints, material availability, or operational issues. • Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components • Track and analyze production performance, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions. • Maintain inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) in line with business targets. • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve production bottlenecks. • Prepare and update production reports, KPIs, and dashboards. • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, lead time reduction, and productivity. • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards • Participate in S&OP / MPS / MRP meetings and activities • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Strong understanding of production planning and control (PPC) principles • Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with relevant experience. • 5+ years of relevant experience in production planning or manufacturing operations • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, or similar) • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in MS Excel (planning sheets, pivot tables, data analysis) • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Strong communication and coordination skills • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement is an advantage • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required Apply now Current employees apply here
