Junior merchant

Job Purpose and Impact The Junior Merchant will work as part of a team to perform strategic sourcing and support activities for feed ingredients procurement. In this role, you will contribute to analyzing supply and demand, soliciting requests for proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of contracted goods and services. Key Accountabilities @@HD@@ • Understand business requirements for feed ingredients and align sourcing strategies accordingly.@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Analyze supply and demand dynamics, market trends, and key price drivers for assigned ingredients.@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Build and maintain supply & demand (SND) models to support trading decisions and scenario planning.@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Conduct research and analysis using data management tools to support sourcing and commercial strategies.@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Participate in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and relationship management.@@/HD@@ • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across supply chain, operations, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution. • Take ownership of assigned feed ingredients, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and value creation. @@HD@@ • Handle routine sourcing activities independently, while escalating complex issues as needed.@@/HD@@ Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably Business, Agriculture, or equivalent experience. • 2-3 years of experience in Procurement is highly preferred • Fluent in Thai and English
