Thermal Device Product Design Engineer - Mechanical

We're excited for you to come join us and help build amazing Macs! @@HD@@ Description@@/HD@@ Product design engineer responsible for developing heat pipe vapor, chamber and fin stack hardware used in thermal management of system. Generate concepts, create CAD models, prototype, and test to drive design down-selection. Design may encompass mechanical parts, thermal solutions, or other pieces that ensure product-level performance Collaborate with many different groups to complete our work including Thermal Design engineers to optimize thermal modules for performance for various power loads. Provide guidance to Architecture, Thermal and System Product Design teams for module sizing, system integration considerations, performance testing and verification, etc. Partner with external vendors & internal operations teams to optimize designs for function and manufacturability. Ensure design meets reliability requirements throughout its lifecycle and perform failure analyses. Design, fabricate, and provide functional requirements for assembly and test fixtures. @@HD@@ Minimum Qualifications@@/HD@@ • BSME Degree • 3+ years of 3D CAD mechanical part design experience in any of the following: injection molding, stamping, forging, die casting, CNC, etc. • Ability to travel up to 10% internationally.
