As an early career Trial Attorney, you will become an expert at Trial work! You will handle, bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with thrilling trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Embrace the excitement of constant challenges and victories in this dynamic role! @@HD@@ Key Responsibilities@@/HD@@ • Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, and courtroom advocacy • Keep claim business partners consistently updated on case status through regular communications, strategy conferences, and pre-trial reports. •

Additional Responsibilities

• Review new file assignments, all documentary evidence and approve initial pleadings, propounds discovery, and develop strategy • Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation, as appropriate • Conduct settlements/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.) • Prepare and conduct court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.) • Conduct depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents • Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses • Try and/or arbitrate cases and prepares motions and summary documents in limine

Education

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar

Minimum Requirements

• Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents. • Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines. • Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process. • Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactions. • Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct. • Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions. • Must be a commutable distance to courthouses throughout the greater Dallas/Fort Worth county area. • This role is also bonus eligible!
