We're seeking someone to join our team as a Java Software Engineer in Wealth Management Technology. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Java Software Engineer position at, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs. Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world. @@HD@@ What you'll do in the role:@@/HD@@ • Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of cloud-native Java applications, • Participate in code-reviews and architecture reviews, • Be self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and an excellent team player, and be prepared to work in a global virtual team along with NY and offshore team members, • Work with senior Business Partners and Program Management team to deliver the solution, • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality, • Work with application support teams to ensure timely issue resolution and thorough support processes, • Mentor junior team members @@HD@@ What you'll bring to the role:@@/HD@@ • At least 3 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role • At least Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field • Java development experience • Solid core Java knowledge • Knowledge of a popular Java unit testing framework (e.g., JUnit 5 or TestNG) • SQL knowledge • Experience with a JPA implementation such as Hibernate • Full software development life cycle experience • Understanding of Microservice Architecture • Experience in implementing and testing microservices applications using the Spring Boot framework • Experience in using source control tools (preferably Git), and build tools (such as Maven or Gradle) • Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting and remediation • Scripting knowledge using a popular scripting language (Bash, Ksh, Python) for automation tasks • Experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker, Podman, Buildah) • Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks • Experience working with Agile development teams at scale @@HD@@ #LI-FT1 #BPTECH #LI-hybrid@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:@@/HD@@ At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients - helping them reach their goals.
