Job Summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a multi-skilled

GIS Senior Engineer

with a strong quantitative and technical background to join our

DCC (Distribution Control Center)

project team. The successful candidate will act as the primary technical liaison between customer requirements, internal stakeholders, and external engineering suppliers. This role involves interpreting complex design documents, translating them into precise technical specifications, and overseeing the development and maintenance of utility network models using

ArcGIS

and

ArcFM

platforms. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining the mission-critical geospatial data that powers our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and design inputs into clear, actionable technical scopes of work (including Hardware and Sofware) for external engineering suppliers • Lead and manage all technical communications with external GIS engineering partners to ensure effective collaboration and delivery. • Oversee the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of electrical utility network models using ArcGIS and ArcFM. • Support the integration of GIS data with ADMS systems and ensure alignment with project goals. • Analyze spatial data using mapping software when needed to support project decisions. • Develop custom mapping applications and tools to enhance project efficiency and data visualization. • Ensure data integrity, version control, and geodatabase management throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Geomatics), Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related technical field. • Minimum of

7 years

experience in managing GIS and ADMS software implementation projects. • At least

4 years

of hands-on experience with the

ArcGIS Platform

, especially in

electrical utility networks

and the

ArcFM extension

. • Proficiency in

Python

,

ArcPy

, or

SQL

for automating GIS workflows and performing data quality checks. • Have a proper experience in defining BOQ hardware and licenses (Servers , Workstations , Switches, Firewalls ,...etc) • Solid understanding of creating and managing

shapefiles

, including merging topographical data with external datasets. • Experience with

GPS measuring tools

and field data collection. • Strong knowledge of

geodatabase management

, versioning, and spatial data integrity. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working in large-scale utility or infrastructure Electrical projects. • Familiarity with Schneider Electric's Software and platforms . • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
