Role Title: Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Expert Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote micro1 is engaging Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Experts to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on advancing semiconductor technologies and microelectronics solutions. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work • Analyze and provide insights on semiconductor device physics, operational principles, and recent advances. • Evaluate and discuss microfabrication techniques, including process integration and yield optimization. • Contribute technical assessments on device scaling, performance modeling, and reliability methodologies. • Review and critique materials used in electronic and semiconducting device fabrication. • Create detailed written explanations and verbal clarifications of complex engineering concepts for AI model training purposes. • Deliver structured feedback on project data to ensure technical accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators and other domain experts within the platform. Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline. • Extensive experience in semiconductor device design, fabrication processes, and microelectronics engineering. • Proven understanding of semiconductor physics, device modeling, and reliability testing. • Hands-on exposure to modern microfabrication and process integration techniques. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to break down complex topics. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on articulating technical concepts clearly. • Prior experience contributing to technical publications, patents, or collaborative R&D projects is a plus.
