This National Guard position is for a ATTORNEY-ADVISER (GENERAL) -Title 32, Position Description Number D2665000 and is part of the WI Joint Forces Headquarters - Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, Wisconsin Army National Guard. ******A Hiring Incentive of up to 25% of base salary may be authorized for this advertisement****** (Note: This incentive is only applicable to employees entering the Federal Technician program) MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: O3 through O4 Conditions of Employment: Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. Work may require frequent travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position. Must either be currently in good standing (certified) with a State Bar or able to obtain certification. Must be a graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. *If selected, must become licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin within 12 months of hire if not currently licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin. ** Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634,Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
