About the role

This position is in the maintenance division at Harry S Truman National Historic Site (HSTR) Independence, Missouri. The position is supervised by the facility manager. This position serves as a maintenance worker, WG-4749-05, at HSTR. Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct Deposit participation required. Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program. Must be able to obtain a valid driver's license within 30-days from Entry-On-Duty and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment. You may be required to work evenings and holidays. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. Government Charge Card: You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles. *Additional Requirements located under qualifications*
