Sign Painter (Motor Vehicle Operator) (Seasonal)

The work of a Sign Painter at Goldan Gate NRA includes designing, fabricating, and installing pedestrian and vehicle wayfinding signs, traffic signs, regulatory and safety signs, visitor information signs, and interpretative panels. These positions may be filled for a period, up to 1560 hours, but can vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: November 2026. Open to the first 30 applicants. Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct Deposit participation required. Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties. You may be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You may also be required to submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. You may be required to travel overnight away from home occasionally. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. You may be required to complete training, obtain and maintain a government credit card with travel and purchase authority. This is a bargaining unit position represented by LIUNA Local 1276. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles.
