The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a BMS Project Engineer to join our Digital Energy team, supporting key projects across the Canberra region. This role is ideally suited to a Sydney-based professional seeking the opportunity to work on major Canberra projects, without the need to relocate. Schneider Electric will cover approved travel costs associated with project delivery requirements. Reporting to the local Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for the engineering, delivery and commissioning of Building Management System (BMS) projects across multiple client sites. Partnering with project managers, engineers and key stakeholders, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard.

About You

You are technically minded, solutions-focused, and enjoy working in dynamic project environments. You take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and building strong stakeholder relationships.

You will also bring

• Tertiary or trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or related discipline • Experience with BMS/BAS/BMCS systems and HVAC integration • Exposure to project engineering, commissioning, and system design • Strong understanding of IT networks and building systems integration • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills • Strong organisational and time management capability • Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential) • Valid Australian Driver's Licence • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance. • Based in Sydney and willing to travel regularly to Canberra for project delivery activities
