The Chief of Sterile Processing Service(SPS) is a direct report to the Associate Director for Patient Care Services(ADPCS) of the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, a Complexity 1C facility. The Nurse IV Chief of Sterile Processing Service(SPS) plays a leadership role in the ongoing systematic evaluation and improvement of quality and effectiveness of SPS program outcomes. U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. The selectee needs to obtain their driving record from their states Department/Bureau of Motor Vehicles (DMV/BMV) website and submit it along with a copy of their driver's license before FJO can be issued.
