About the role
We are looking for a talented Transportation Administrator to join our team, specialising in transportation coordination and customs administration within our UK Logistics Centre in Daventry, United Kingdom.
This is an onsite role based at our UK Logistics Centre in Daventry.
Our Transportation team operates a weekly rotational shift pattern 07:00-15:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday. Team members work scheduled hours within these operating times to support business and customer requirements. Flexibility to work across the team's operating hours is therefore required.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Coordinate and process shipments in a timely manner, ensuring customer requirements and delivery commitments are met.
• Arrange domestic and international transportation bookings with external freight forwarding partners to support efficient product movement.
• Raise and manage customs requests and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with trade and export regulations.
• Act as a key link between Customer Service, logistics providers, and internal teams, providing clear and timely communication on shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory, shipment, transportation, and operational records within company systems to support business reporting and decision-making.
• Follow up with customers and stakeholders to provide shipping documentation, resolve queries, and deliver a positive customer experience.
• Generate reports and analyse operational data using Excel and other business systems to support performance tracking and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across transportation, warehouse, customer service, and compliance teams to improve processes, maintain service levels, and achieve operational goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications, with the ability to manage data accurately and generate reports.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and shipment deadlines.
• A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment and contribute positively as part of a team.
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma, secondary education certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an administrative, logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, or operations support environment.
• Working knowledge of shipment processing, transportation coordination, customs documentation, inventory control, or related operational processes is advantageous.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and business systems for data entry, reporting, and record management.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
