Lead Accounting Technician

Lead Accounting Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical leadership and coordination for accounting support functions that ensure accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions. Provides guidance to accounting technicians and clerical support staff on established procedures and internal controls, supports month-end and year-end close activities, and assists in maintaining audit readiness. Position reports to the Financial Service. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job. To be considered for this position, you must complete all required steps in the process. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or approved telework setting. You may occasionally lift or carry light items such as files, binders, or a laptop and may spend limited time walking or standing during coordination with staff or meetings.
