AIRCRAFT MECHANIC

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1366000 / D1525000 and is part of the WY 153d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to current or prior service active duty, reserve or national guard members of one of the branches of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marines. Military members: Submit vMPF Rip, DVR, STP, ERS, MBS, or PDR with resume. Prior service members: Submit a DD Form 214. Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5.
