About the role

Job Purpose and Impact The Senior Manager - Site Accounting and Reporting role manages financial reporting, statutory compliance, governance, and risk management for Shared Services/Global Capability Center (GCC) legal entities operating under the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) framework in India. Proven track record in ensuring compliance with Indian regulatory requirements, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting executive leadership through accurate reporting and business insights. Key Accountabilities

Core Controllership Responsibilities

• Led end-to-end controllership activities for CBS legal entity including accounting governance, financial close, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with corporate policies. • Ensured accurate preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and global accounting policies. • Managed legal entity reporting, management reporting, statutory audits, and internal control compliance.

SEZ Compliance Management

• Managed regulatory compliance requirements applicable to SEZ units under SEZ Act and SEZ Rules. • Ensured adherence to Letter of Approval (LOA) conditions and monitoring of authorized operations. • Coordinated submission of periodic reports and returns to SEZ authorities and Development Commissioner.

GST Compliance & Indirect Tax Management

• Ensured timely resolution of GST notices, assessments, and litigation matters. • Collaborated with tax advisors and business teams to mitigate indirect tax risks. •

RBI & FEMA Compliance

• Managed RBI and FEMA compliance obligations applicable to foreign-owned service entities and cross-border transactions. • Oversaw compliance related to: • Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) regulations. • Annual Return on Foreign Liabilities and Assets (FLA). • Overseas remittances and foreign exchange transactions. • Cross-border service transactions and intercompany settlements. • FEMA reporting and documentation requirements.

Statutory, Internal & Regulatory Audits

• Led end-to-end management of: • Statutory audits. • Internal audits. • IFC/SOX testing. • Regulatory and compliance audits. • Tax audits and transfer pricing audits. • Acted as primary liaison with external auditors, internal audit teams, and regulatory authorities.

Risk Management & Governance

• Established strong governance mechanisms to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. • Conducted compliance risk assessments and monitored execution of mitigation plans. • Managed control frameworks supporting financial integrity, operational excellence, and compliance objectives.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Directed cross-functional teams across finance, tax, legal, payroll, treasury, and operations. • Partnered with senior leadership on financial, compliance, and regulatory matters impacting the legal entity. • Drive transformation and process improvement initiatives to enhance control effectiveness, compliance, and reporting quality Qualifications • Minimum requirement of 5 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience. • Qualified CA with 5+ years of post qualification experience
