Production Engineer - Electrical / Mechanical

The Production Engineer-Electrical will be responsible for optimizing electrical manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product output, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facilities. This role involves a blend of technical problem-solving, process development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve production excellence. @@HD@@ How you'll make an impact@@/HD@@ • Design, develop, and implement efficient electrical manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for new and existing products. • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical production issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions. • Select, specify, and qualify electrical components, equipment, and tooling for production lines. • Develop and maintain detailed electrical assembly instructions, test procedures, and quality control documentation. • Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and seamless transfer to production. • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and waste reduction (Lean manufacturing principles). • Conduct time studies and process capability analyses to optimize production efficiency and reduce cycle times. • Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and quality standards. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and company policies. • Participate in equipment maintenance planning and support, including calibration and preventative maintenance schedules. • You will be ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. • 3-5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing or production engineering, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, components, and systems. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. • Experience with various manufacturing processes, including soldering, wire harnessing, PCB assembly, and electrical testing. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations is a plus.
