The team is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to create high performance hardware systems supporting Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Photography applications that break new ground in Technology and User Experience. As the Hardware Design Engineer you will be leading deliverables to align with project goals while ensuring thorough and precise documentation of various steps from concept to architecture and through manufacturing and use. @@HD@@ Responsibilities:@@/HD@@ Propose, negotiate, and design EE solutions to achieve functional and performance objectives Design & schematic capture of digital and some analog electrical circuits and systems Lead and review PCB layout Build proof-of-concept and initial prototype hardware Create and execute plans to bring-up & validate designs for function and performance Debug and support prototype designs @@HD@@Manage Contract Manufacturer interactions and support CM test during system builds Preferred Qualifications@@/HD@@ Electronics experience in SOC's, microcontrollers, microprocessors (ARM), FPGA's, Camera electrical protocols (e.g., MIPI, LVDS, SDI, DP, HDMI) and sensors or transducers. Taking designs from concept through manufacturing & test, perform mechanical assembly for quick prototypes, and bring-up/debug & validation of digital designs. @@HD@@ Minimum Qualifications@@/HD@@ Electronics experience in processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, storage, high speed serial interfaces, and power supply design. Strong working knowledge of Signal and Power Integrity and protocols for PCB layout and construction. Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters. @@HD@@ BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience. Pay & Benefits@@/HD@@ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
