Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist

This Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) position serves the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Facilities Management and provides clinical and administrative support to staff, patients, and administrators for all matters of concern relating to the facility wide lifecycle management of medical equipment. This is for a 120 day competitive detail. Detail may be extended up to 1 year and there is no change in salary or pay. Supervisors written approval is required to apply. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be proficient in written and spoken English. Must provide clean driving record report from the DMV during the pre-employment process.
