Registered Nurse - Wound/Ostomy/Continence Care

The WOCN RN assigned to the VAPHS Surgical Service Line clinics is responsible for providing follow-up wound and skin care to the inpatient population at University Drive and the HJ Heinz CLC population as well as ostomy care at University Drive including pre-operative site marking, and new ostomy patient education. This position will also require occasional support in the outpatient setting for on-going care of the ostomy patient. The tour of duty is 8- or 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Occasional travel is required between University Drive and JH Heinz campuses. Tour of Duty variations approved are 0730 to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
