About the role

This vacancy is for a Field Representative (FR) position located in DC/DE/KY/MD/OH/PA/TN/VA/WV . If your state/territory is not listed here, visit Census.gov to find your state's announcement. Applicants selected will have their home as their Duty Station and will be required to travel throughout their local area. You must be 18 years old. You must be a US Citizen. You must have good hearing and the ability to read small print found on surveys. You must be in good physical condition to drive, climb stairs, and walk for extended periods. You will occasionally be required to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. You must be willing to work days, evenings, and weekends. You must be willing to work a varying number of hours per week. You must be willing to occasionally travel overnight for training and work assignments. You must have access to a vehicle (or public transportation) so that you can complete work throughout the assigned geographic area. You must establish and maintain a safe work environment in your residence. You must be willing to use all methods of communication (face to face, phone call, emails, letter, etc.). You must have access to a landline or mobile phone. You must have an internet connection at your residence. If internet is not available in your area, must be able to connect to a cellular network. You must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation. You must be registered for Selective Service at the time of hire, if applicable, (www.sss.gov). You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. A one or two-year trial period is required (dependent upon veteran's status). This is a NON-BARGAINING unit position.
