Product Repair/Mod Technician General (Level A)

to join the team in

Papa, Hungary.

Boeing, the manufacturer of the C-17, is responsible for contract flight line maintenance; engineering and technical support; and management and supply of spare parts. This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) C-17 aircraft based at Papa AB, Hungary. Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and structural repair) associated with day-today operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet SAC mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participation in Intermediate level maintenance activities (e.g. back-shop tasks including component repair, test set operation, battery charging, and scheduled periodic inspections) will be required additionally • Assembles, disassembles and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components • Performs C-17 maintenance to include pre/post flight inspections, repair flight discrepancies, launch and recover aircraft for missions, perform scheduled maintenance activities, perform home station checks (HSC), perform back shop maintenance, perform support equipment maintenance and perform MRT/AOG activities as necessary for the SAC aircraft.

Basic requirements

• This position is required to work one of three shifts Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required to support the flight line maintenance requirements. • This role requires to work outdoors in all types of weather condition. •

Required the ability to obtain NATO or US security clearance.

• Candidate must be able to obtain work visa depending on requirements of the country. • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable. • All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. • Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.

Preferred qualifications

• The candidate having at least a specialized aircraft maintenance secondary-school (GED) qualification within five months from the application date.

• Relocation is offered on this requisition for qualified candidates. • Applicants must be able to obtain work permit/visa depending on the requirements of the country. This requisition is for an international, locally hired position. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll.
