Summary / Role Purpose

The Senior Internal Auditor leads a variety of audits and special projects focused on evaluating, and determining the effectiveness, adequacy, and efficiency of internal controls surrounding ANSYS financial reporting controls and systems. This position will work directly for the Senior Director of Internal Audit and Risk Management along with working closely with management teams across the different departments and geographies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing internal audits from start (i.e. planning and creation of customized audit programs) to finish (report writing, conducting closing meetings, and performing follow-up reviews) • Challenging current working practices and finding ways to improve the design and effectiveness of financial reporting and fraud prevention and detections controls. • Sharing with process owners the results of the audit and agreeing appropriate corrective actions to remedy any non-conformances • Assist in the conduction of Enterprise Risk Management and Fraud Risk surveys and risk mitigation efforts • Special projects as assigned by Senior Management or the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• B.S in accounting • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a public accounting environment • Experience in performing audit engagements that includes, but is not limited to Operational, Sarbanes-Oxley and SOC2 engagements • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor • Familiarity with COSO Framework

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities are required • Good project management and team working ability • Strong spreadsheet skills • Experience with audit software tools #li-remote • Less than 25% travel
