The complexity and scale of taxation at Walmart encompasses our ecommerce business, brick & mortar stores, other business ventures, and beyond. @@HD@@ What you'll do...@@/HD@@ As a Manager, Tax - Indirect, you will use your skills and knowledge to support Indirect Tax in one of the following areas: @@HD@@ • Sales/Use Tax Operations:@@/HD@@ Monitor and interpret changes in state and local tax laws to ensure accurate tax calculation on transactions. •

Support audit defense for sales tax, use tax, product tax, excise tax, regulatory fees, and gross receipts across state and local jurisdictions. •

Leverage tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL to analyze large volumes of data and improve operational efficiency. •

Preparing and filing sales, use, and other transaction-based tax returns with hundreds of state and local jurisdictions across the U.S. •

Conduct in-depth research and draft clear, well-reasoned documentation to support tax strategies.

• 6+ years of indirect tax experience in industry and/or consulting • Advanced degree or certification related to Taxation • Strong tax research and writing skills • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to manage large amounts of electronic data • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset to support cross-functional teams and help elevate team performance.
