You will focus on minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing maintenance strategies for non-traditional machining technologies, directly impacting the plant's ability to meet global energy demands. Depending on your background, you will support the reliability of the following technology areas: @@HD@@ • Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) & Fast Hole Drilling (FHD): @@/HD@@ Supporting the uptime of high-precision drilling equipment used for turbine nozzles and buckets •

Managing the reliability of specialized industrial electrochemistry equipment, gaining experience in chemical handling systems and electrical power supplies. @@HD@@ What you will do: @@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Asset Performance Management: @@/HD@@ Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends in unplanned downtime and equipment degradation. •

Lead or participate in "Deep Dive" investigations into equipment failures to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions. •

Help develop and refine Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance ( PdM ) program for complex EDM and ECM assets to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). •

Evaluate equipment criticality to prioritize maintenance activities and optimize spare parts inventory for high-impact production machines. •

Partner with Maintenance Technicians and Process Engineers to troubleshoot recurring mechanical, electrical, or chemical system issues. •

Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of production equipment. •

: Participate in Kaizen and 5S events to optimize shop floor layouts and identify opportunities to reduce waste in daily maintenance workflows. @@HD@@ What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications): @@/HD@@ • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline. •

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Material Science Engineering. • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding). @@HD@@ Desired Characteristics: @@/HD@@ • Interest in equipment life-cycle management, maintenance engineering, or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM). • Analytical approach to problem-solving (ability to look at data and see patterns of failure). • Strong technical curiosity regarding how complex machines work and why they fail. • Basic understanding of mechanical components (pumps, motors, actuators) or electrical control systems. @@HD@@ Eligibility Requirements: @@/HD@@ @@HD@@ • Internship Term: @@/HD@@ Fall/Winter 2026 (Target Start: September 21, 2026; Target End: March 27, 2027). •
