Model Maker - Finisher

The Industrial Design team is looking for an experienced Finisher to join our model making team. In this role, you will craft high-quality appearance models and physical mock-ups that bring design concepts to life, supporting the evaluation and communication of industrial design directions, forms, and product ideas. @@HD@@ Description@@/HD@@ Finishers are skilled craftspeople responsible for delivering exceptional cosmetic hand finishing and painting on high-fidelity appearance models. Responsibilities:@@/HD@@ Perform high-quality cosmetic hand finishing and painting on appearance models Conduct detailed model assembly with precision and consistency @@HD@@ Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative design environment Preferred Qualifications@@/HD@@ 3-5 years of experience in product model making or a closely related discipline Demonstrated craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail Proficiency finishing plastics and metals across surface types (high polish to fine matte) Candidates with fewer years of experience but a strong portfolio and demonstrated initiative are encouraged to apply @@HD@@ Minimum Qualifications@@/HD@@ Strong hand finishing skills and experience with a wide range of materials and tools @@HD@@ Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team Pay & Benefits@@/HD@@ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,500 and $246,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
