About the role
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, in Yakima, Washington. The BB pay scale does not have multiple steps. All hires into these positions will remain at the same step during the duration of the appointment.
Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Must have a current or obtain within 180 days upon entry on duty a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Pre-employment and random alcohol and drug testing are required. You will not be appointed to the position if a verified positive test is received. A physical examination will be required, or a statement regarding physical ability will need to be completed. You must maintain physical fitness standards throughout employment. You are required to wear a uniform and comply with the uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. This is a bargaining unit position represented by Local Union No. 77. You may be required to travel overnight away from home. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. You may be required to complete training, obtain and maintain a government credit card with travel and possibly purchase authority.
