Mechanical Engineering Intern

located in our

Columbia, SC

site. @@HD@@ Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, @@/HD@@ the Intern will assist with daily tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams. @@HD@@ What a typical day looks like: @@/HD@@ • Assist Engineering Team with meeting site production objectives • Reviewing documentation, CAD drawings and reporting finding to team • Monitoring bottlenecks and making recommendations to management • Attend team meetings and support project work as needed

Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment

• Sophomore/Junior student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major • CAD tools (Solidworks) experience • Basic understanding of statistical analysis • Lean/Six Sigma helpful • Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills • Previous internship experience a plus!

Internship Program Requirements

• Available to work 40 hours/week (in person) for a 10-12 week Summer assignment • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university • 3.0 GPA
