Field Service Engineer Protection

As a Protection Commissioning Engineer at GE Vernova, you will serve as a technical authority responsible for the commissioning, optimization, and lifecycle support of advanced protection systems across the India and SSA regions. Proficiency in both high and low-impedance schemes.

Deep conceptual and testing knowledge of

architectures. •

Advanced application of distance (MHO/Quadrilateral) and differential protection, including tele-protection schemes (POTT, PUTT, Blocking). Experience with

Implementation and testing of differential (87T), REF, and overcurrent/earth fault logic (GEV P64x/T60, Siemens 7UTx, ABB RET670, SEL 487E). •

Conduct root-cause analysis and onsite diagnostics, strictly adhering to GE Vernova safety protocols. •

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients; mentor junior engineers and provide cross-functional leadership. •

Expert use of secondary injection test kits (Omicron, ISA, Doble, Megger) and ability to interpret complex schematic drawings. •
