DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Normal, IL. You will make an impact in the following ways: • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: • Completes complex internal engine repairs • Performs engine overhauls unassisted • Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components • Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins is a bonus) 2 years experience in related field/trade school certificate or equivalent • A current valid license is required for this role • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
