Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate. @@HD@@ Job Purpose and Impact@@/HD@@ The Transportation Carrier Representative will work with transportation company to move available freight within the organization's brokerage network. In this role, you will handle relationships with a moderately complex portfolio of carriers through prospecting and onboarding activities to ensure efficient, cost effective and profitable movement of goods for the organization. @@HD@@ Key Accountabilities@@/HD@@ • Partner with respective teams to support the placement of a moderately complex carrier portfolio, standard operating processes, available capacity and quality services. • Engage frequently with key carrier contacts to establish relationships. • Communicate with key carrier contacts on service issues and provide resolution. • Maintain data and prepare reports in the organization's operating system to ensure accurate and timely information and relevant buying decisions. • Participate in negotiations to support bids, price and service commitments which fulfill profit goals and service requirements. • Provide contributions to continuous improvement activities related to carrier opportunities, best practices, industry developments and events. • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. • Other duties as assigned #LI-JG3 #LI-Hybrid @@HD@@ Qualifications@@/HD@@ @@HD@@ Minimum Qualifications@@/HD@@ • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams @@HD@@ Position Details@@/HD@@ • This position is posted both internally and externally. • Position is based in Ankeny, IA • Relocation assistance is not provided for this role • Schedule 1st shift- 7:30am- 4:30pm Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet To apply using chat/text, please click Apply Now button OR use this link to create a login to apply.
