Role Overview
The TikTok eCommerce Legal Team provides comprehensive legal support for diverse, cross-functional, and multi-jurisdictional initiatives across the UK and Europe, including TikTok Shop. As part of this dynamic and fast-growing division, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of one of the most exciting digital commerce platforms worldwide. This role will serve as a key point of contact for marketplace governance and user experience teams in the UK & EU. The ideal candidate brings strong e-Commerce and/or brand-side legal experience, combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach to solving complex compliance challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on UK & EU product compliance, consumer protection law, advertising, creator marketing, applicable to online marketplace
- Provide legal support on UK & EU intellectual property rights (IPR) matters, as well as broader marketplace governance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. policy, operations, product, and enforcement teams) to ensure consistent and effective compliance practices
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing strategic and tactical priorities in a high-growth environment.

Minimum Qualification(s)
- Solid experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm, working in the IP, media, technology and/or e-Commerce fields.
- In-depth knowledge of UK &/or EU laws applicable to eCommerce platforms, hosting service providers, and the retail sector.
- Strong familiarity with key UK & EU regulatory frameworks, including the Digital Services Act (DSA), General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), and UK &/or EU market surveillance rules
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Experience handling regulatory inquiries or investigations is highly desirable
- Intellectual property rights (IPR) experience in a marketplace context is a plus
- Ideally, in-house experience within an international, matrixed organization.
