About the role

BGV is an NGO, dedicated to providing Black/Brown woman-identifying founders with access to community, capital, and capacity building in order to meet business milestones that lead to economic advancement through entrepreneurship. For our Director of Relations, we're looking for:

Responsibilities

: Initiate and set goals for the BGV community success segment according to the strategic objectives. Plan community engagements and experiences from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes. Leads and supervises the BGV community success managers to provide feedback and resolve complex problems. Develop community engagement strategy and work alongside C-suite staff to drive organization impact and revenue goals. Enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people within the BGV community success team. Ensure BGV community and partnership operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies. Drive the strategic direction, management, and execution of all BGV Universe efforts. Shape community experiences to meet the needs of BGV's Universe and that are in alignment with BGV’s mission. Represent the organization in meetings with donors, advocates, the media, and/or community members. Establish community and partnership goals, define key performance metrics, and track performance. Responsible for reputation management and stewardship of specific allocated partnerships. Oversees overall brand awareness and affinity. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the team in collaboration with senior management to drive BGV’s vision, organization impact and revenue goals. Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on BGV communities. Other duties as assigned. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Have some creative or artistic background Creativity gives you internal permission to execute Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or related field 5+ years experience in leadership positions Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity Understanding of business planning Ability to look at bigger picture A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics * Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues Black Girl Ventures Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer
